My love of music came from my parents initially listening to the music they listened to when I was a child. As I grew older I used to create radio shows with my brother using an old karaoke machine which then grew to making regular mixtapes for different journeys either going to school each day or going on holiday where I would make a bumper mixtape compilation. I would continue doing this and what you could say continue to the present day with me producing, preparing and presenting Radio Shows.
I moved out from home in 2011 and I begun volunteering at my local community radio station in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, initially as a producer for the flagship community evening show where I would find guests, prepare questions and working directly with visitors and the on-air presenter. I then began learning the art of working the desk and audio production/preparation behind the scenes.
Moving forward I was taken under the wings of a good hand at the station and was tutored to become a presenter, learning to talk to just one person and having a warm style. My first presenting position would be covering the Drive Time and Breakfast Shows as a relief presenter and then went on to host my first full time slot every Saturday night with the dance show between 10pm and Midnight.
As time went on I found my love of Funk and Soul music brought on by a new enjoyment for collecting vinyl's and crate digging this was as a result of searching for the samples that dance music had used and my interest grew and grew. I then went on to present the stations soul show from July 2017.
I left the station in May 2020 and become a freelance Radio Presenter moving my show online and launching it as "The Funk and Soul Show" and continue being a volunteer presenter for other community stations in the area covering a variety of shows as wide as my musical taste
